Is thehomebrewcompany the only show in town?

Ive been out of it for a bit and saw their prices have almost doubled over a few years.
Is there anywhere else that decent variety of grain?

I came across one crowd in cork but you have to collect from there, not worth it for me.

So where do you get yours?

SureLook

If you're looking at buying bulk (25kg) sacks of malt and kilo amounts of hops then there's Loughrans just outside Dundalk - https://malt.ie/

For homebrew amounts GetErBrewed are good. There's also Malt Miller based in England which tend to have some things GetErBrewed don't like certain hop varieties. Shipping costs are similar for MM vs GEB so if you're putting in a decent order then it's worth it.

Cheers lads, appreciate it.
Checked out both Ghb  and mm, very good offerings there 👍.

Do you need to be a commercial brewer to buy from malt.ie?
Could not seem to register as an customer to order without some company info ???

Just adding some info for others who may be interested.

After a bit of back and forth I was able to order from them.
Came out a few euros cheaper than thehomebrewcompany for a sack of whole best Vienna malt.
If you're collecting it you'll save more as malt.ie charges more for shipping

For any one else interested in using them I'd suggest just calling them and speak to Sara in sales.
I almost didn't get sold to as I led with being a homebrewer, if you say that you want a whole bag she's happy to help.

Process is to email the order, they email back an invoice that you can pay by bank transfer or call them up again to give your credit card information.

For a sack of base malt it's hardly
Worth  the hassle but if you're looking for multiple bags and are willing to collect then it's definitely worth it

Out of interest, did they give you a price list or anything like that?

You'll have to add vat @ 23%, shipping is 11.60 per sack

Thanks for that!

Is a sack a 25kg bag of grain?

SP

Yep, two sacks is two times the shipping.

One sack of malt and 500g of yeast is also two times the shipping.

Still beats buying yeast in individual sachets
