He has so much to give.

Bring Ron on!

Putrifying: nothing
Pouring: Lovely Saison, Czech Lager, 1804 Porter
Past: Cashmere PA

I would  second Ron, one of the best beer historians around!

Also give the hassle he's had with AHA/nhc of late he probably would be up for it

I'll enquire as to how "reasonable" his rates are.  ;)

Are his books any good?

I have his vintage beer recipe book. It's excellent.
Every little helps

If your interested in properly researched evidence based history they are. Martyn Cornell writes much better stories, but Ron probably has the most comprehensive  catalogue to talk on

Dr Jacoby

Agreed. He loves busting myths and has a bit of a mouth on him.

I think his blog is really where it's at. If you're into berliner weisse, for example, you could spend days researching his posts on the topic. Some great stuff in there.
Every little helps

mr hoppy

The vintage book is very different from the other ones in fairness. They seem like compilations of the kind of lists he puts up on his blog from what I've seen.

I'd say he's a good speaker. Might convince me to try to make it to Brewcon next year.
