Title: Cyser/ apple/cherry mead
Post by: Hingo on July 28, 2014, 07:59:27 PM
Hey folks, just made up a batch craft range cherry cider, mixed up about 21/22Ltrs of juice but racked 18-19litres to a carboy to ferment (as in primary fermentation) and have just about 2 litres left. Was thinkin of popping my cherry in mead making (pun intended) and was thinking of using the leftover juice in the mead (3 lbs honey and water, plus mead) have some lalvin d47 too.

Any thoughts/advice/warnings to this? Might throw it together tonight

Looks like its only apple & cherry juice concentrate , dextrose & some sulphites (haven't added sweetener or cherry extract yet)

OG on the juice is 1.054
